Bonjour pouvez vous m'aidez a corriger ce texte oral en anglais dans pas longtemps mercii d'avance• Im going to talk about the notion « myths and heroe » especially about heroe.
First of all, A hero is a person who is admired for his actions, his qualities (courageous, generous, valiant, strong, optimistic..)
To illustrate this we are going to talk about Angela Davis.
Angela Yvonne Davis, born into an African-American family in Alabama, USA is marked during her youth by racism, humiliations of racial segregation and the climate of violence against blacks.
So we are going to wonder why angela davis is considered a heroine .
• Firstly we saw two poster for determined who is she (whithout knowing who the person was on it) The first, was a poster of a woman talking, mouth wide open and the second was a woman behind bars. So it was determined that it was a woman who lived in the seventeen’s thanks to the décor of the poster and her hairstyle, that she is an activist and she was in prison.
• AG is considered a heroine because she managed to do long studies in schools where blacks were almost absent (and little accepted by white students), she studied philosophy in the four corners of the world (California, Germany, France..) Then became a professor at the University of San Diego. She was fired from her post because of her political activism, especially in the Communist Party of Black Panthers defending the rights of black men. She denounces illegitimate referrals in the midst of a crowd in order to express the injustice she suffered and was considered a spokesman for the injustices suffering by blacks in the United States.
• She also joined the supporters group at the ' Soledad brothers ' jailed for years in prison just for stealing $70 (because for their skin colors, the two brothers had a heavier prison sentence). She was accused of complicity because one of the guns that served for the robbery was in her name as a result She was one of the most wanted FBI women to "complicity in hostage-taking" and was jailed for 18 months. (She was been on the lam for two years.)
Not guilty, the world is mobilizing, demonstrations bringing thousands of people (in the United States, France...) bring to its liberation. This act shows that she is a heroine because despite everything that the government does to her because of her skin color and its political commitment, she is able to mobilize thousands of people for fair reasons, for equality, to do justice.
• Thanks to the ideas she defends Angela is supported by many famous people: the Rollingss Stones Deducted him a song "sweet black angel ". Sarte, Aragon, Prevert, Genet denounce racism in the face of his detention.
• In short Angela Davis for me is a heroine because she knows the segregation very well because she goes through her life. She has been campaigning for the rights of blacks, to have a proper education for the children, to have the right to work. To stop the inequalities between skin colors. She has struggled all her life for a collective cause, for acts of injustice. For me it is the symbol of a very heroine: courageous, actions towards righteous causes, strong. Angela Davis is a great person to remember Because it defends people who don’t have the courage to defend themselves against injustice.
