  The name for the Indian popular street snack food is "chaat".

b- Why do many of these people not eat in restaurants ?

  Many of these people don't eat in restaurants because they can't afford it. It is too expensive and they can't pay restaurant prices.

c- What cannot be found in South India ?

  "Chaat" can't be found in South India.

d- What criteria are people looking for when they buy street food in India?

 When people buy street food in India , they are looking for subsistence food at reasonnable prices ( they need to buy food to live but at  low prices)
