1- Abraham Lincoln was born in 1809. (v. active)

2- He worked all his life, first, on his farmer's farm, then, as a lawyer, and eventually became the sixteen American President. (v. active x 2)

3- He believed (v. active)  all men were equal. That's why slavery was abolished (v. passive)  in 1863.

4- He won the Civil war. (v. active)

5- He was shot (v. passive) in Washington, where he died. (v. active)

6- In 1865, the whole nation was shocked (v. passive) his sudden death.
